Looks like we survived April Fool's Day with little more than an inconvenient prank or two. And now it's April. I can't believe the year is flying by this quickly. I blame school, actually, because the two of us have been SO busy with classes and tests....*sighs*

One more month until finals. That's it!

It's been in the news...

The whole Britney Spears and her erratic behavior stories. It's also been all over the news that she's gone into Rehab and was just recently released. I have to admit that it got me thinking.

One of the reasons I had problems with some of the employees at my last job revolved around their pretty extensive drug use. Everything from cocaine to prescription medications, and it was difficult keeping myself out of that subculture because it was SO prevalent. Recently, an ex-coworker of mine told me that not only is she changing religions, she's also looking for drug treatment programs, not just for herself, but also for her husband. She asked if I could do some checking as her modem was down, so she came over and we started looking online for different centers.

One that caught my eye was the Stone Hawk Rehabilitation Center in south central Michigan. After perusing the site for a while, I discovered that not only is it in a beautiful (and I do mean beautiful) location, it seems to have a very comprehensive program that combines not only drug detoxification and drug-free withdrawal methods, but also therapeutic training, life skills courses and a comprehensive aftercare program.

If you, or a loved one, are struggling with drug addiction, and are in the Michigan area, check out Stone Hawk here.

This has been a paid post.

Traffic is horrible today, the weather doesn't help much either.

It's very grey and dreary out. It makes me want to do nothing more than say "Hello, I love you" to my bedsheets. *sighs*

So now that classes are over, it's time to spend some quality time with the television, my hubby, my kitlings, and my pillow!

Maternity care...

This is quite important, actually, as it's something my hubby and I have been discussing, what with the current move coming up. The thought that if health insurance isn't already in place for the move, and if I should become pregnant, how are we going to afford it is a very big weight on our minds.

This site Maternity Health Insurance has some WONDERFUL insurance ideas and plans to help you keep what should be a joyful time exactly that...joyful!

Back to the daily grind....

Another school day, another test, another lowered grade.

ARGH! I'm getting so frustrated right now!!

So...I lied. *laughs* It's been still hectic but things are finally mellowing out!

I'm hoping that the upcoming spring break will afford me more time to really sit down and chat. I do have some other posts made, but I'm reserving them for later when, well, when I'm not feeling as vulnerable about things!

Hope everything is well out there with everyone else!!

Sorry I've been so quiet...

Things are chugging along at a pace clearly reserved for headless chickens!

School is kicking our collective butts...and I've been quite ill off and on over the last week. It doesn't seem to be showing any sign of slowing. AND work stress has finally grabbed hold of my hubby, making things worse than would be normal.

I'll be back to regular mostly daily posting soon!

Here's something interesting....

Enthusiastic lovers swear they've discovered the secret to a wild and wonderful sex life - eating a delicious muffin that pumps up passion to incredible levels! This miracle sex muffin contains five powerful aphrodisiacs that are claimed to rev up romance, enthusiasts say. Sex muffins work on both men and women, and they are inexpensive, easy to make, and contain ingredients available everywhere. No one knows exactly where this recipe came from, but enjoy it and have fun!

Sex Muffin Recipe

1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
2 Tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Contents of 15 ginseng powder capsules
2 ounces semisweet chocolate or 1/3 cup chocolate chips
1/2 stick butter
1/3 cup honey
1 cup milk
2 egg whites slightly beaten

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Mix together flour, baking powder, spices, and ginseng powder in a big bowl.

Slowly melt chocolate and butter together in the microwave or on the stove top. Mix until smooth.

Add melted chocolate and butter to the dry ingredients. Stir in the honey, milk, and egg whites.

Stir just enough to blend, and pour into greased or non stick muffin tins.

Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes, until muffins are brown.

Let the muffins cool for a few minutes before removing them from the pan.

Not that I or my beau need any help, mind you, but this actually sounds kinda tasty. I think I'll make some later today.

Post about my post...

And make yourself some cash! The PayPerPost team has announced a new program called "Review my post". Basically, the way this puppy works is as follows: 1) You read my post. 2) You find it hilariously funny/informative/evocative/disturbing. 3) You click the "review my post" button at the bottom of the post. 4) It takes you to PayPerPost.com where you sign up for free and then proceed to take the special opportunity presented because you clicked on my button.

Once you get paid, well, I get paid too. How simple is that? It's the easiest money you'll ever make, I guarantee. AND you'll be able to do it yourself! The more people you have clicking on your button and signing up, the more money you get. I'm sure there are easier things out there, but I can't think of any that pay you for it. And to give you the opportunity to increase blog traffic with a minimum of effort? It's not "something for nothing" but it IS "Something for next to nothing!"

This program is really taking off and with good reason: It allows people to increase the revenue and traffic to their site and it brings in new posties to PayPerPost who may not have been familiar with it before. With so little effort expended, don't you think it's time you gave it a shot?

Happy Valentine's Day!!

So. Among the stash received today were two very distinctive shirts.

One is white with the words below emblazoned across the front:

Note: You'll have to read it out loud to get it. Heaven knows I had to read it twice before it sunk in. LOL!

The other, black with these words dripping in red across the chest:

"Putting the laughter back into Manslaughter"

My husband is a silly man. *laughs* And he made up for his silliness by presenting me with jewelry too! Aww!
